Terms of Use

You own the copyright to any stories you write on Magic Stories. You can make them publicly available or keep them private so that only you can see them. By making them public, you grant us the license to display them on the Magic Stories website. There is no charge for anyone to view stories here and no money is made by anybody. This is art for art's sake.

No content is allowed that violates anybody else's copyright or is otherwise illegal. Each writer is personally responsible for the consequences of things like plagiarism or libel. It may be my circus, but you are not my monkeys.

The Editor reserves the right to remove stories that violate these terms or that exceed his personal generously bounded sense of ugliness. It's sometimes difficult to say, for example, if a piece of writing is exploring themes of racism, or it's just actually racist. The Editor does not believe in censorship and errs on the side of freedom of expression. If the Editor sees something here on his beautifully crafted writing platform that makes him go yick, he will try to ignore it and get on with his life. If despite his best efforts he finds he cannot abide it, however, he reserves the right to remove it. He also reserves the right not to have to explain himself or defend his decisions. He promises to use this awesome power sparingly if at all.

The service is provided 'as is'. We aren't responsible if a dragon accidentally eats your draft, or computers crash, or the database goes tits up.
